Sasquatch Party Drinking Budweiser in the Swamps of Auckland City
I had an awesome time at Rose's kick ass flat warming last night. I braved the cold wet rain to see her new digs and the place looks sick!! It's real shabby chic the best style in my opinion real cool old skool run down vibe in the best possible way do you know what I mean?
At the party there were so many different people from all around the world UK, France, Germany, Venezuela pretty much every country still in the Rugby World Cup except for Palestine and a guy called Ari lying about actually being from overseas, you didn't fool me old chap ha
Let me paint a picture in the middle of the house was a never ending game of alcohol drenched you guessed it beer pong played with utter conviction by all soon to have convictions but this guy dude he was a virtuoso of the table of frat if I can use that word in polite light mannered way in relation to a terribly fun game like beer pong, he destroyed everyone who stepped forth to challenge him he even offered me his cigarette mid-game I politely declined!! His best moment of all the games was when he threw a ping pong ball which accidentally hit the overly large forehead off a girl and it landed in the last cup swirling around on the edge of the cup, it was like a little planet spinning haphazardly on its axis in a very ddrunk fashion before falling from grace and in a final act of Shawskahnk redemption "hi my names Andy Defresne" landing in the cup what utter swag!swag!swag!swag?
I forgot to mention I had to ran up a hill coughing and weezing, no really, to get some beers I thought hmmm why not get some Budweiser to get those old Americana vibes pumping through my veins like a full tank of petroleum gasoline fresh. But later in the night my good/annoying German friend Felix had to insult my beer choice while diagonally somersaulting into the neighbours hedge. He said to me "why are yu drink such vater berr it tastes like cats piss those bloody Americanzz" then he said something about winning the war anyway I didn't take his insults to heart cause for one reason one I stand by my taste in beer, but more importantly "the fifth amendment protects my right and ignorance to bear Budweiser in the swamps Of Auckland City" plus he was drinking someone else's long lost rancid by the looks of it very warm half drunk Tui yucckkk
In other news I even got angrily accused of being Jesus Jesus Christ Superstar!!! well you know my friends people are really acting rather funny about my hair these days. I know its a lush unparralled piece of glory of which I am, very fortunate and appreciate to have on my head for however long I am blessed with it cue varnished 90's hair infomercial from my childhood but in all seriousness my hair is going away on a very long paid vacation to don't give a f@ck as I'm getting a hair cut very soon as Im sick of being part of the Sasquatch brigade people I want to be free free to be me. Which also reminds me off the utterly brain dead TV show about Hunting Sasquatches Bobo they don't exist go see a therapist, But Yeti's do exist if you count human ones your a shining example Bobo and don't forget in Nu Zelnd we have a whole breed of Sasquatach in society called the bogan occupying a small island off Australia connected to the mainland by a giant bridge made out of wallaby skin.
Argh finally as always my words of wisdom for the day "to much freedom is a truly terrible thing" take it how you want people And to conclude I am so sick of people asking me whether I straighten my hair arghhh For gods sake bruce almighty I don't straighten my hair, neither do i brush my hair unless it's a very formal occasion I do have manners lets not get to crazy.
Finally finally I promise my true gem of deskilled knowledge given to me by a piper who played along the rough coast of the Taranaki peninsula last Summer you should always try to wait out the unbearable awkwardness at the start of parties were you know absolutely no one chances people are all feeling the same and also if your wingmen are crap and unreliable don't even bother word up peace out! Moss
Ellie Goudling's going strong on her new song "On My Mind" I wonder if this song is about old Calvin Harris?

Rackets Found Dead - Walking the Skeleton
Stream the Album above and start Living!!!
Well I'll be damned those kinky King's of old skool Slacker
rockyroad fame Rackets drop a sick new album "Walking the Skeleton"
straight from the top of the Dirt Pile. The musical range on this record could
be likened to a Valentines buffet meal its vast, unhygienic and yet you really
want to eat it all in a facken instant!! nutty professor style. Hysterical Nietzschean madness
aside oh yes on a more proper and eloquent British note, quaint, the audio work from the Auckland rockers took many moons to construct including a few blue moons were we all know
what happens. Like some bollocks new state funded National motorway to John
Key's Ponytail caressing paradise the is over! but are we there
yet? I'm not gonna lie this album is an emotional roller-coaster with all the
highs and lows of a refreshingly painful joke that the past NZ election was, but what do Kiwi's finnd so inherently magnetizing about the colour blue?
From a personal down to earth tip of the Fedora my fav track that really is a
heart to heart tear jerker is "Swan Song" with a flaming performance
of god knows who from the band playing some Spanish castanet's which sounds as if their life depended on it or perhaps their rent! to the classic boistorious
rock fuelled antics of "Barracuda" offering in my dark mind a high-class
Remeura lady on the hunt like a paranoid piranha that at the same time offers up the greatest lyrical
highlight of the record from my view;
"I taught my brother and sister both Karate"
We then do a drunken backward U-turn without indication into an atomic musical swerve that sees
us together wading waste deep into the seas of the Mediterranean Hawaiian shirt unbottoned pinacalada in one hand our best mate Jez being swept off
into the surf never to be seen again withourselves just caught in the moment laughing at the beauty of the world while languishing in the melody laden obnoxiously
phat snare young cash money sound of "Fools Gold" with what i might add is a
really stand out vocal performance on the record from none other than the All
Black's themselves leading their tone-deaf fans into a Rocking haka
But wait a second Rackets comes charging out of Rugby Union changing room ready to rock out in the middle of the field they storm the stage playing fasce shattering powerslides from the new record the Super bowl at halftime is eclipsed by the almost NZmericans going wild Katy Perry faints in a self-induced Diva moment overwhelmed by her bosom and for a moment the world is in a complete of Buddhist like harmony as a car crashes into the stadium filled with an Isis militia trying to stop the musical Rugby broadcast in all its footy glory they are hacked down one head at a time by the Sonic power of Rackets unbudging nationalism backed up by the thunder thighs of Jonah Lomu propelled by a healthy morning meal of South Auckland ghost chips.
In all sobriety what a colossal stonker of an Album Rackets you have all earnt a well deserved outstanding F+ for your services to derail the brainwashed public of New Zealand your knighthoods are already in the mail with a lifetimes supply of scorched almonds :) :) :)

Drake Dropping some Philosophical Gems Courtesy of Sprite and The Fader
Drake's main points - just keep moving forward don't worry about your wins or losses just keep raking them up regardless - quantity over quality produces quality
"Keep things moving"
Be proud and represent your City don't listen to anyone tell you about rainbows and the easy street
that doesn't exist in another country or city
Remember to mix things up and always push the envelop people want an artist not just a rapper,
very true as I see artists who think about videos, artwork, sounds, songs, vibes, and variation on
the same old stuff
Haters are just showing you love their invested in you - they are the confused ones
Sometimes your Dad has a good idea and you should listen to them
Story telling is everything and staying true to your own unique tales
If you got the Music thats all you need nothing else, 'Flip your way of thinking'

The Official "Turn the Tables" - Music Video | The Neo-Kalashnikovs
Hi guys
I'm excited to present the official music video for The Neo-Kalashnikovs song "Turn the Tables",
which was directed, shot and edited by our mum Ruth Bioletti whose done an amazing job.
I'm really stoked with how the video has turned out and how we all pulled together to get this video made independently. I really like how the new video reflects the bands "Do-It-Yourself" ethos and celebrates how Radio Hauraki were the first station to put the band on the national airwaves in NZ.
Also a big shout out to our sponsors; Thievery Studio for allowing us to shot the video at their space, Nick Von K for generously supplying us with his amazing jewellery and First Scene for the old-skool props.
We're going to be sending the video off to Juice TV really soon and hope to get some spins on the telly so cross your fingers and hope for the best!
Sincerely,
Moss Bioletti

The Neo-Kalashnikovs & Force Fields - North Island NZ Tour in May (NZ Music Month)
The Neo-Kalashnikovs & Force Fields - First leg of the NZ TOUR 2014
Forcefields (WGTN) and The Neo-Kalashnikovs (AKL) plan to decimate the North Island’s main centres; Auckland, Hamilton and Wellington in May (NZmusic month). They aim to build local buzz around their new singles “Zeroing” & “Treat Me Right”.
The tour came about from a chance encounter online. The bands have never met so it will either be a saucy first-date or perhaps a steamy love affair who knows? There might be a shotgun wedding in Auckland, a motel honeymoon in Hamilton or an expensive divorce in Wellington. What’s going to
happen in Palmy is anyones guess? One thing is for sure though both bands mean business!
With Forcefield’s solid live reputation in Wellington and The Neos heavy radio play on Hauraki FM this is a tour for NZ rock fans nationwide. From the angst student to the tough nut tradey and all those uptight brain surgeons in between ‘we will rock you!’ With brain-splattering bass, face searing guitars & soul wrenching vocals they’ve got you bro!

LOCAL ROCKERS: The Bonzai Birds - Wrong Is Right As Rain
Great guitar tones and a nice opening refrain with chilled out vocals all combining together bring to mind an NZ Tame Impala. A band that must be one of the only Australasian rock bands to be nominated for a Grammy. The song is a rhythumic juxtaposition with blending tones and melodies which make it in my mind a great song to listen to on a rainy Sunday morning (smoking a cigarette). If this is the benchmark of Bonzai Birds work I'm excited and looking forward to hearing more music from these rockers. "Right As Rain" is definitely a song with multiple layers which is the best type of song, because every time you listen to it you can focus in on new parts of the arrangement keeping things dope. A really promising song commercially and critically. Moss from The Neos

The Great Poet Murray Haddow of Auckland City
http://murrayhaddow.bandcamp.com
Internet shy Mr Haddow has finally joined Facebook!
This great Grey Lynn poet/gardener/comedian has been performing wildly & passionately in NZ for the last few decades with drummers, lawn mowers, saxophone players and full bands. He is a true hidden treasure of Auckland and New Zealand's poetry & music culture. He can recant John Cooper Clarke poems like there is no tomorrow and performs poetry as a true artist does, for the love of it.
The Scottish rock band The View are big fans of Mr Haddow after they played a show with him in Auckland a while back and knowing him personally and having performed with him countless times I can say I am a mega fan of this man. He has supported me and my band from the very beginning and inspired me so much artistically. If you are lucky enough to know about him you are sure to become a fast fan of this humble and very talented artist. Show him your love.

The Controversial "Moss Rock" Blog: http://themossrock.blogspot.co.nz
The Neo-Kalashnikovs were stoked to be
a part of the TV2 2014 rebrand. The Director and crew were super nice. The camera man was really talented. Apparently the camera was shooting at 1000 frames a second and I can tell you it was a hefty piece of hardware. The lighting man on set was from the Hobbit and he did an awesome job. On set it was kind of free form and we were more or less left to jam in the garage, that is until a giant explosion went off and shot littles "2's" everywhere! :)
On the take that TV2 kept Volita almost got her leg blown off and fell over. The look of rock angst is actually pure pain haha. But every aspect of the shoot was pure fun. Moss also screwed up the slow-motion cymbal shot hence there's no cymbal shot haha. Our stylist was Lisa Matson at http://www.lisamatson.co really helped fine tune Volita's outfit and was brilliant to work with :) Moss on the other hand was given the o.k from the director straight away in his own clothes that he specifically chose. Bass player Gabriel is wearing a "Cage the Elephant" t-shirt. The song was stock production music from Sony/ATV. Hopefully the band gets the o.k from the director next time to use our own song. During our performance in front of the cameras the band were playing "Take It Or Leave It": http://youtu.be/EQjLY1PqNC4

"Turn The Tables" Rock Single off to FBI Radio in Aussy (The Neos)
Today The Neos sent off their Rock single "Turn The Tables" to FBI Radio by dragonfly with way to many postage stamps for the journey. The winged monster just couldn't get enough of those Hobbit stamps lol. I really hope the parcel got tracked Gabe haha
The Neo-Kalashnikovs #rockmusic #rocktheairwaves
shout out to Volita for rocking the Glue Spraycan and getting those covers on haha!!!
Also a big thanks to our dad who took a day of work to roll up to the studio with us and produce the bands biggest songs so far. He really did a Rick Rubin and was sprawled out on the couch in the studio and just listened for a while like a Zen-master.
And while we were all struggling to cut the right performance he was chilling out. But then thankfully he saved the whole operation by telling us all to play TNT way slower. He also said the vibe of the track needed some more slacker rock, so he told us to not try to hard haha!
By the grace of the rock devil it definitely did the trick as its been the bands biggest radio success. Some one even said it was being spun in China (just a joke). Well not quite but its a tune with a good pair of legs on it and thats what you want!!! :) You can stream the song below, download it for free or buy it off iTunes!! whatever you do remember to rock the f@ck on !!!

A Racket of a Road Crash!!! - NZ Rockers risk lives in Virtuous act as Good Samaritans
The band weighing up how to push the Totalled Car while dis-regarding Giant Petrol Leak!!!
Breaking News:
There was a Racket of a car- crash in Mt Albert today folks. Being the good old Moss Rock minding my own business, heaven behold, in my very own neck of the woods, the whole Rackets Gang out in full force trying to rock a totalled vehicle out of on coming traffic. Funnily enough the driver of the car was still lodged in her seat trying her very best to make the car go up in a flaming fire-ball by gunning the engine to the max. Unfortunately my loyal readers, even Toyotas can't drive themselves when both wheels are completely munched into the bumper were the license plate you'se to live.
Despite the potentially life threatening scene that occurred at the lethal intersection of New North and Alberton Ave, the Rackets men were the Auckland Rock band of the hour. The trio piled out of their car like an All Black rugby scrum against Italy and decided to lend their raw power to the rage against the machine. It really was a tectonic sight Oscar, Jeremy and Vince pushed with all their might. Indeed they did their very best to clear the car from oncoming traffic. And seriously I don't know about you but fuck AA call Rackets those dudes are onto it bro!!
Anyway I didn't stay long enough to see what happened in the end hopefully rock prevailed over a half-destoyed pile of mangled metal. But hell, was I gonna hang around a leaking petrol bomb previously known as a car on the off chance that one of the gang might accidentally light a ciggie and send the whole bitch flying sky high, Hell No, but what a sight that would've been!!!

Linkin Park, Aloe Blacc and Incubus Produce "Wake Me Up" with Avcii - Plus news on Katy Perry, Macklemore and Kendrick Lamar
Not many people know but there was a superstar team behind the song "Wake Me Up" that went number one around the world. Not only did Aloe Blacc come up with the main melody and lyrics. The guitars were played by Incubus rocker turned producer Curly Hair. Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park also helped produce the song adding that 10% love, you know.
After all this god-like Avcci came in on a hoverboard and destroyed the track with his synths and cheesy smile. Out dropped a number one hit of epic proportions. It's nice to see real muso's hitting the charts when it's been dominated by pretty trashy songs by Pink and Katy Perry.
I absolutely hated Roar by Katy Perry it was just horrible brainwashing stuff that had a politically motivated message that shouldn't be allowed on air without a dis-claimer.
In other breaking news apparently Macklemore is going to be used by his backers to help make everyone in hip hop look bad. Apparently he's gonna win heaps of Grammy's or a really important one, when Kendrick Lamar really should. The reason is due to politics as Macklemore is a new age rapper that is going to make all other rappers look like mean people that hate and dis-criminate. I'm not sure what to believe all I know is $50 for a t-shirt man do some simple addition.

New Video: Mas Ysa - "Why" - (Ice Hockey indie music video)
Residing in Brooklyn, NY Mas Ysa has delivered up stunner called "Why". The tune has been doing really well on top music blogs around the world. I really like the visuals and theme in his video. It reminds me off all my friends that like to train hard in sport. One of my friends is also a top ice hockey player who represented New Zealand and I think he will really like it.
My other friend James is an avid Lacrosse player and I think he will dig it. It's really great to see an indie video with sports in it. Maybe if there were more videos likes this we'd actually get out more and play sport :)

New Song by Kid Cudi - "Satellite Flight" (Out 2 Days)
Here's the latest song from Kid Cudi. It's been out only two days and has racked up over 250,000 plays (nice). The fans are feeling the track as well. My favourite part is the sampled intro (brilliant). Im my mind this song seems very smoked out. But thats not a bad thing and I am a really solid supporter of Kid Cudi. Personally my favourite song he's ever done is "Sound Track To My Life" (See below).
"Satellite Flight" is a great song that definitely grows on you and gets better the more listens you give it. The song would bloom with a wacky as hell video with martians and satellites.
My description of the song and events that lead up to its production would be: Kid Cudi waking up from a deep slumber in his bed on Mars. Then after having an asteroid shower, deciding to record a new song through a cherished vaporiser, before escaping into space with his moon boots. I guess now he's just a Satellite in space in mid-flight trying to survive. Stay tuned for a new record dropping out of the sky from Cudderland.
Love Cleveland, even though I nearly died their!!! :)
