The "She's On Heat" North Island Rock Tour | The Neo-Kalashnikovs

                  Designed by Volita and Moss

Lead Singer/Guitarist Volita Pearl of The Neo-Kalashnikovs rocking out in Palmerston North.

Her guitar tones inducing unstoppable head-banging motions from the front to the back :)

After playing Hamilton, Palmy and Wellington in the North Island for 3 weekends in a row I've got to say it was intense. The best part about the tour for me was playing across NZ as joint headliner. Although it's obvious the live scene has suffered a serious decline of 80% due to recession. Dis-regarding this bull my favourite memories are as follows; playing on the Giant stage at Altitude Bar that bands like Shapeshifter,Blacklistt and Shihad and other countless rock acts have slaughtered. Then I think the best performance of the Tour would definitely go to Palmerston North, New Zealand show were the crowd was insane and some OG's head banging at the back cracked me up mid-set seriously Palmy knows how to head bang Boy!!!

The Neo-Kalashnikovs playing Altitude Bar on some Vector Arena level vibes in the Hammer.

A Big thank you to Laurie, Nicky and Craig for making the show next level!!!

In reflection it was also super great to drop into Radio Control 99.4FM and hear "Gorgeous Baby" played on University radio. Unlike Douche Fm Control rocks and David and Abi some serious Ass. The station was also super swish with an amazing view of the campus, winning!!!

The best sound of the Tour definitely goes to Bodega the room, desk, speakers and vibe were great. Also the whole band nearly getting physically attacked by a "Superfan" was memorable to say the least. All I can say is thank god for Bouncers.

All three siblings Volita, Moss and Gabe rocking at Bodega on a cold Wellington Night.

It was a huge honour to play at the longest running music venue in NZ history.

Last but not least i'd like to say a massive thanks toForce Fields for kicking out some serious jams across the nation. I swear I saw a rocker patrons head simultaneously explode when you rocked out Zeroing Full Volume at Bodega!!!  Also a giant thank you to Matt for helping book shows the tour couldn't have happened with out you. Jeremy for supplying his legendary bass amp and being generous enough to let Gabe play it and Matt the Drummer of Forcies for letting myself tenderly smash the shit out of his drum kit hahaha  don't tell him I said that

Finally I'd like to thank Radio Hauraki
for playing our songs and talking about the tour nationally. Phantom postering for hitting every lamp post from the Tron to Kaitaia with a tour poster. And our mumager Ruth Bioletti Artist for coming on tour with us and stopping Volita and I getting into titanic sibling level fights on the road haha

Next up for the band is the release of "She's On Heat (Turn the Tables)" record on U.S college radio, meetings with some school of hard knocks music managers, hitting the studio to make a new swag-laddened record!!! and swanning off to grind it out in England and generally get up to no good haha - Stay Classy NZ

Premier: These Violent Delights - Unreleased Songs Now Streaming - Produced by The Neo-Kalashnikovs

Here are the first live streamings of These Violent Delights produced by Volita Bioletti of The Neo-Kalashnikovs. The as yet unreleased songs were recorded and mixed by Ollie Harmer at The Lab studios in Mt Eden.

These Violent Delights are Blue, AJ, Belinda & Scot all veteran rockers from Auckland, New Zealand.
The group recently preformed a packed out showcase at Kinja bar hosted by John Cameron in Whangaparaoa. I was their to witness their performance first hand and loved it. The stand out track on the night judging by the crowds reaction was "Underground". The song actually reminds me of so many awesome 90's rock anthems that I have grown up listening too. I'm really excited about this new song as I definitely think it has some legs on it.

The official release of the untitled E.P will be due out early 2014. The release will be handled by Rocawave Records in NZ, Aus and their PR subsidiary (name withheld) in Britain. The release will also be out through White Zoo Records, Italy. Doors are still open for label and distribution enquiries in the U.S ;) rocawaverecords@gmail.com

Have a RockNRolling good time going into 2014 and keep those amps up loud!!!

Brand New Music: Volita Bioletti (The Neos) & These Violent Delights - Limited Run almost Sold Out!!!

Writer: Moss Rock
I trooped off to the show-case of "Volita Bioletti & These Violent Delights" this Thursday at
Whangaparaoa. Our hosts Reggie and James Cameron of (Coast Open mic night) were lovely
as always and the Belly dancers were amazing!!! It was a great night all round and awesome
to see the accumulation of Volita's hard-work producing the record for the Auckland veteran
rockers TVD.

In my opinion the performance reeked of 90's alt-rock with a distinctly British flavour.
And my stand out track of the night was "Underground". I absolutely loved this track.
I talked to co-producer and talented multi-instrumentalist AJ of TVD and he also thinks
that song is a keeper!! I am almost certain my favourite song on the night could be the
front runner for the lead single off the record.
Time will tell as the official release will be out early 2014. However, there are so many
strong songs it really will be hard to choose.

I pressed up a limited run off 30 pre-release cd's for the event and only have 5 left.

If any rockers in the building want a copy of the "Volita Bioletti &
These Violent Delights" (Pre-release) feel free to email: Rocawaverecords@gmail.com
for your copy. It's on sale for $5 plus postage and all proceeds go towards band activities
(gotta love those activities :) The cd would definitely make a fine present for an avid Neos
fan, especially if its a surprise! and its not available any where Digitally!!!

The songs featured on the record are:

1) My Violent Delight        (Full on Rock Song)
2) Ophelia                          (Alternative Rock song - The fan favourite)
3) Take Me Out Tonight    (Classic Kiwi Rock song)

There are a lot of guitars on this record so turn it up loud and Rock On!!!! Neos

The Officially Censored Interview by Volita Bioletti for NZ Musician Magazine

See it at:

http://volitapearlbioletti.blogspot.co.nz/2013/12/volita-bioletti-nz-musician-magazine.html
Hey Babes this interview was requested by NZ Musician Magazine but was never printed due to censorship from within. I would have loved to have been in it but as you can see the NZ music industry is just to sensitive!
It's a lil bit fashy with its "do what I say, think what I think, like who I like or we no print you!!!" HAHA
So petty NZ women wars censorship aside I thought I would just put it on my blog cause it will no doubt get heaps  more reads this way ;) By the way there's no spell check on this bitch :)

Love Volita Pearl Bioletti XOX

The Neo-Kalashnikovs - An Interview on Self-Promotion & SoundCloud for the Indie Artist

You're doing pretty good with 1300+ followers on sound cloud. What do you think helped the most in getting this far?
1) To crank a solid game on sound cloud you need to start liking peoples music, following people up to the 2000  follower limit, write nice comments to people after listening to their music and always comment back to people that take the time to message you enjoying your music

Indie rock is big in the UK but if you had to pick another country in Europe to do concerts, which would it be?
2)If you break America you break the world, Japan and German are also really important for a rock musician. All 3 countries have the biggest music markets in the world. So you can either slum it in New Zealand with platinum album sales or tour America and get paid for moving like 50,000 records which is like ten times platinum in NZ haha. For instance LF =m2 (Larger populations equals more fans which results in money squared haha)

What do you think is the best way to get a following quickly in a short amount of time?
3)Do really awesome albums and give them away on the internet and play shows on Saturdays were ever you can and promote it by shooting video, recording it, poster it, love it haha!!!!

Which radio station in the UK would you want your music to get played on?
4)BBC Radio 1 by Zane Lowe the biggest DJ in the World and a New Zealander too!!! Man that guy needs to spin "Gorgeous Baby" already and stop interviewing Kanye :)

What was the best venue/place you played at?
5) Las Vegas in the middle of Summer, they shut off a block downtown and we rocked out in front of the local college crowd. When I say the sound system was loud it was like Skrillex on crack. After the show we went back to our hotel the El Cortez (one of the oldest hotels in the city). It had been owned by Mafia Bosses to Movie Stars and every hustler in Las Vegas in between. After the show our friend Rico from San Pedro and I (not to be confused with my friend in Highland Park) went off and gambled on the slot machines there. He ended up losing his money so I put mine on the line and with some help from lady Luck managed to break even. By the way we actually grey-hounded into Las Vegas which is insane because its like a 12 drive or a one hour flight haha but its such a euphoric feeling when you see the Bright Lights and how dope is Cesar's palace thats like Ancient Greece on steroids. We ended up having a huge band fight when we got their we were so delirious. Still we had some Long Islands on the side walk you can drink them on the streets there and everything was all good :) The Neos
