Rocawave Records: First Digital Release on Day One of 2014 - Haters Want Me Clapped in Chrome

Here it is the first digital release on Rocawave Records called "Haters want me Clapped in Chrome".                       The song samples a classic drum break lovingly sculpted with Maag E.Q (plugin).                                   The bass line was then pounded out on a very outdated vst synthesiser cloning a
trashy early roland. The vocals are unmistakable those of
Mr Jay-Z the "Hova" Carter.

The art design was tackled by the label as well as mixing & mastering. This song is really an instrumental to be freestyled over. But to be honest for that lone minute (literally) listening to this        track you could probably pretend your 2pac rolling round in LA for all I care.

F@ck it's good to be RockNRolling in 2014. Day one into this year and it's fitting to have our first release on the same day to keep our swag up. And best believe there's gonna be some dope rock, dance music due out this year!!!

New Producer: Evian Christ - Working on Yeezus, Flying to Paris and signing to Kanye West's Donda Music

Evian Christ was your regular everyday kid from the boondocks. However, his grind in his humble study with one studio monitor broke the mould. By abusing a cracked version of Cubase and a shitty 100 pound computer he created magic in the most unlikely of circumstances. I recently read an interview he gave and he said he's still coming to grips with having a fan base! :)

Not many in NZ may know but Josh as Kanye West probably refers to him as made a classic record called in Kings and Them in 2012 for his project Tri-Angle. The shit blew up on the internet and got the attention of the ears of Jesus I mean Yeezus himself. Josh then transformed into Evian Christ and starting making hundreds of beats for Kanye's latest record. His song placed on the biggest selling Rap Album of 2013 was "I'm In It" which is a considerable feat for someone so young. His story has strong parallels to Boi1Da in my opinion, a young super talent visionary that ended up producing some of Eminiems biggest hits pre SSLP2.

Josh has gone on to sign with Mr West's Donda music and will be making beats for the Rapstar full time. This abrupt career change sees him move to New York city to come hip in the biz. The kid also has a new record dropping soon and will of course continue to crank out some of the hottest experimental mainstream cross-overs in the game. Check out his latest song "Salt Carousel" that has turned the internet into a wasteland after being ravaged by the fire track. Congratulations on getting crazy spins on Radio 1 and everywhere in-between Josh, big things to come for you bro!!! :)

p.s - Almost forgot Kanye flew Josh out to Paris on the asap when he start chopping up for Yeezus

Jay-Z and Rick Ross - The Devil is A Lie - A song that Potentially tries to Justify Greed and Dis-crimination

Caught up in a racial debacle Jay-z was pressured from his die-hard fan-base to pull out of a racist designer retailer deal. The potential partner Barney's plans on stocking a new range from jigga man that was racial discriminating against black customers in New York.

The officially named "frisked shopping policy" saw people belonging to miniorties frisked after going into the store. Jay-Z said he would still go through with the deal and give all proceeds to his charity the Shaun Carter Foundation.

Thats seems a weak move to make and reeks of greed. But hey even our champs in Hip Hop aint picture perfect and some will put money over people regardless of what charity benefits.

Here is what The Fader pulled out of the song from Jay-Z;

You seen what I did to the stop and frisk
Brooklyn all up in Barneys like we own the bitch
Giving money to the hood now we all win
Got that Barneys floor looking like a V.I.M.
Black hoodie, black skull.

I'm not really convinced about the whole story but hey call me a sceptic!!!

Beyonce and Jay-Z Latest single - Drunk In Love = Running Commentary

So what do we make about the most popular couple in America, two people that most look up to more than the US president and first lady in comparison. Well I'll give you my opinion for its worth it seems as if the song was originally written for Rehinna but she's probably pissed off about her botched tattooed hand (lol).
