The Neo-Kalashnikovs - Drama Queen (Live at Debase Studio)

We recorded a live performance of "Drama Queen" at Debase Studio & Music Centre in Morningside, Auckland: www.debasestudio.com/

They offer two great rehearsal spaces and an awesome atmosphere to practice music in. If your interested check out their website in the link above.

Also we tried to record Volita's vocals live but we couldn't get them loud enough in the mix compared to the other instruments in the recording so we did some over dubbing in our Bathroom the next day! haha

Celebrating Cultural Diversity & Helping Arts in New Zealand
VOX365NZ celebrates diversity in the arts by looking at the unique relationships creatives have with their art, cultural identity and community in NZ. VOX365NZ is a platform for creative collaborative spirit. Our aim is to achieve the following:

1) To discover underground creatives in New Zealand and create a platform where “established” and upcoming or underground artists can collaborate and exchange ideas, experiences – and possibly create something new and fresh.

2) To use multiple mediums to create a platform for creatives to showcase their work.

3) Create a useful and timely piece of knowledge that continues to evolve and share insight into the range and diversity of creatives in New Zealand.

4) Conduct a social research project to understand creatives’ relationship with the arts, and how their various cultural backgrounds may situate their position to practicing their art forms.

5) Promote cross cultural understanding by celebrating diversity in the arts.

6) Spark dialogue and initiative for artists to take progressive stances against community and social issues such as the problem of child poverty in New Zealand.

Jackal - NZ Green Vinyl Release of "Castle in the Air" Album

Man I'm really enjoying the new record I was lucky enough to get off NZ band Jackal.
The guys issued "Castle in the Air" on flicked greenstone green Vinyl and it rocks. I'm digging how chill the record is and how it ramps up for really intense fits of raw power. It's also super melodic giving me flashbacks of Pink Floyd and great experimental concept albums of the early 1970's. The full length record was produced by Jackal. Theo McGrath is the lead vocalist & guitarist + drum machine programmer, Will McGrath is lead guitarist and performs acoustic guitar , Alec Cummins is on Bass guitar and back up vocals and Hayden Keach rounds out the group on Drums. You can go to https://jackalband.bandcamp.com/album/castle-in-the-air to stream the record and purchase a limited edition copy on Vinyl. Stoked with mine! Moss

Delete Delete - Take Their First Steps on Mars with ""Broken Heart Kid" (New Music Video)

Our good friends Delete Delete have just released a new music video for their latest song
"Broken Heart Kid" and it was shot on Mars!!!

The video was made by the talented Damon Keen. The video stars Kassie Watson from "Last Flight" while Lance Wordsworth carrying out director of photography duties and Sarah Butler, Kiri Maxwell and Amie Maxwell all helping produce the video.

The song is a monumental intergalactic dance anthem of unrequited love. and when listens to the song while experiencing the video it creates a very striking parallel world on Mars which as a species we are yet to explore. The video is powerful in its vivid depiction of a human beings first steps on Mars. And yes they do have Seagulls on Mars like Earth too but they look far scarier with there red outlines around their martian eyes arghh.

There are so many great shots in this video its hard to pick one so I haven't their all great!!
But then I found some great stills on Delete Delete's Facebook here: https://www.facebook.com/deletedeleteband

Best Moss

Also loving "Sedated" what a catchy and fun tune, it makes me want to partee
